The Frame Retreat is an intimate creative experience designed for photographers and videographers who wish to build a refined portfolio connected to the atmosphere of Lake Como.
Hosted by wedding planner Dalila Scatassa together with Studio Close Enough Photography, the retreat brings together intentional design, authentic moments, and carefully curated settings to create an environment where meaningful imagery can emerge naturally.
With a limited number of participants and thoughtfully designed scenes, the day is structured to offer time, calm, and creative freedom.
A Shared Vision
The Frame Retreat was born from a collaboration between planning and photography.
From the planner’s perspective, the experience focuses on atmosphere, design, and the visual language of Italian weddings. Every setting — from table design to floral elements and details — is created with the intention of supporting strong editorial imagery.
Together with Studio Close Enough Photography, the goal is to create a space where photographers and videographers can work within a carefully crafted environment while maintaining complete freedom in how they interpret it.
What You Will Photograph
Participants will work with two couples and one model across five curated settings within the villa and its surroundings.
Scenes include:
- Getting-ready moments
- Villa interiors
- Outdoor scenes overlooking Lake Como
- Editorial table design and mise en place
- Stationery, accessories, and bridal details
- Moments at the villa molo
- A boat experience on Lake Como with a real couple
